Project Journey: How we focused our idea

When we had a general idea of what the story will be, the setting and what will inspire the look of the world and characters. Our team split into two parts, Leah and Chloe dealt with the illustrations and art style, while  Brendan and I had to deal with the writing. So Chloe and Leah researched different art styles and sketched more concept art of characters to finalise their designs and come closer to a style for the animation portion. While Brendan and I researched different ideas for the story and setting.

After much research and deliberation, we decided to drop the film and focus on the graphic novel as our skill set and time wouldn't allow us to make a proper film that would convey the point and story.

When we held our first presentation about our idea, we talked to some lectures about feedback and where we could improve, from the feedback we then hashed out a final art style, started to finalise the story we wanted to tell. As a group, we agreed upon what theme the story should have and its message. Leah and Chloe started more work on the art style, finalising it while Brendan and I started more research about stories that share the same themes and narrative to show its possible and can lead to a tangible story.

From all this work we were on our way to fully finalise the theme, story synopsis, art style and started work on the script and come up with a title.
